Nagano Prefecture, the region where Tamagawa facilities are located is surrounded by mountains and filled with nature keeping many historical spots.

Tenryu Gorge
Beautiful scenery with a flow of Tenryu River and huge unusually-shaped stones.
You can enjoy Boat Tours for 6 km with full of thrills and romance.

YUTTARINA Hirugami Hotspring
Hirugami Hot Springs are the largest Hot Springs in our region. The quality of spring is strong alkaline - it smooths and moisturizes the skin. It is one of the Japanese best hot springs considered to produce and support beautiful skin.

Nakasendo Tsumago-juku / Magome-juku
The townscape is selected as a Japanese Preservation Districts for Groups of Traditional Buildings and the scenery of post town is preserved.

春Spring
Iida Oneri Festival
Memorial ceremony held in every 7 years. Famous for the procession and the big lion dance parade through the city.

Japan’s largest event of cycle road race travelling across prefectures held annually. This area is the hardest stage due to its hilly terrain.
夏Summer
Iida Puppet Festa
The largest festival of puppet shows in Japan with more than 400 performances. Every year, hundreds of troupes coming to this area from all over the world.
Fireworks
From July through August, you can see fireworks everywhere in the area every weekend. At night, listen closely to the sound of this summer feature.
秋Fall
Leaf Peeping
In Lake Momiji, Maples and Ginkgo leaves vividly change their color to red and yellow. Leaf Peeping is the traditional activity for Japanese people.
Fruit Picking
You should definitely try Japanese fruits picking. Grapes, Pears and Apples are famous in this area and there is a lot of fruit farms.
冬Winter
An ancient cultural ritual using boiled water held in December. Villagers act Gods with masks and dance all the night. Designated as an important intangible folk-cultural property in Japan.
Snowy Mountain Landscape
“Senjojiki Cirque” is one of the best scenic spot in our region in winter season. It is about 2,600 meters high and you can enjoy the highest ropeway in Japan (in terms of difference in height).

“Food” is the best remedy for the fatigue of long trip and a long business meetings.
We recommend that you taste local specialties of our region.

& Wild Game Meat
Iida city has the largest number of Japanese Style BBQ (called “Yakiniku”) restaurants per 10,000 people in Japan. Yakiniku is the soul food for local people and we love to eat not only beef but also ram and mutton.
Additionally, Wild Game Meat (Gibier) is famous in our region.

Do you know Japanese Whisky has attracted foreign visitors recently?
Japanese Whisky is characterized by its complex and delicate flavor.
We would also like you to enjoy Ciders, made by the apples harvested in our region.

04.Souvenirs
We guess it is hard for visitors to select souvenirs within a limited amount of time during overseas business trip.
We selected some souvenirs with traditional Japaneseness, which will save space in your suitcase.
Mizuhiki
Japanese traditional art form of knot-tying made by Japanese paper. It is originally used as decorative cord. But gradually, it also forms three dimensional art and paper jewelry. Currently, our region manufactures about 70% of domestic production.
Japan Lacquerware (“Kiso Shikki”)
Traditional lacquerware became popular since Edo era. The characteristics of Kiso Shikki are the beauty of lacquer paint, durability and lightness.
Agar Powder (“Kanten”)
Agar is a food made by seaweed like Gelidiaceae and Gracilaria. rich in dietary fiber with no sugar and very low calorie.
It’s easy to eat. You can just put and dissolve the powder in the dishes.

What’s Japanese “SAKE”?
Sake is a Japanese alcoholic beverage made by fermenting rice and water, containing about 15% alcohol by volume.
SAKE in our region
Quality of water is one of the most important factor in brewing. Our region, Nagano Prefecture has a lot of spring water spots and actually, it is the second largest number of Sake breweries in Japan (as of 2022).
How to enjoy SAKE
You can enjoy Sake with wide temperature range from 5 degree C to 60 degree C. The taste / flavor is different depending on the temperature.
