Defense Expo: Tamagawa Existing & Emerging TechnologiesDSEI Japan 2023 - Japan’s only fully integrated defence event
Tamagawa Seiki ran a booth at DSEI JAPAN 2023, that is Japan’s only fully integrated defence event, held at Makuhari Messe from March 15 to 17, 2023.
As one of the exhibitors, we introduced our defense products to visitors involved in defense and security industries around the world.
01.Exhibited Products
At this event, we showed a wide variety of products, such as Motors, Sensors, Pumps and Actuators classified by applications - Tank, Missile Systems, Space Products and Aircrafts.
Tank / Missile Systems
Our Motors are used to drive the turrets of tanks.
Multipole and Multi-speed Resolvers are used for periscopes, Pumps and Steering Motors are used for guided missiles.

Space Products
Our products have been used in a large amount of space applications over the years.
Reaction wheels are used for attitude control of nano-satellites. We have added a product for 100 kg class satellites to our product lineup and introduced at this event. Our Stepping motors are used in high-precision resolvers (angle sensors) for Mars Rovers and for driving antenna of artificial satellites.

Aircraft
Based on the experience in the defense business that has been cultivated since foundation, we have grown in the field of commercial aircrafts and our products have been used for various kinds of aircrafts and their systems.

High-Density & High-Power Motor
We are now developing High-Density & High-Power Motor which integrates motor and inverter.
This Motor employs a special air-cooling system and the structure and materials have been updated to achieve higher output.
Gyro + INS
We have a long history of developing and manufacturing gyros. It was started for aircraft and vessel applications in 1942 and we are now developing a wide range of products from MEMS Gyros to Ring Laser Gyros.
At this event, we displayed our high accuracy and low cost i-FOG and IMU “Multi Sensor” for automatic operation of various types of moving vehicles and our GPS/AHRS for aircraft.

02.Small “GACHA” gifts for visitors
We gave a small gift “Mizuhiki” to visitors who stopped by our booth. Mizuhiki is a Japanese / our region’s traditional crafts of knot-tying made by Japanese paper.
Mizuhiki gifts were gave to visitors through the capsule toy machines called GACHA, which is very popular in japan of all ages.
Some people from foreign countries had never rolled GACHA – we were glad to see that they enjoyed their first GACHA in their lives.

Tamagawa VR Resolver is a high reliable absolute angular sensor, it needs winding on a stator only and offer VRX. Customization of fitting and electrical specification is available based on standard models.
Tamagawa RVDT provides linearly proportional voltages to the angular displacement with high reliability for vibration under extreme low/high temperature. Size 08, 10 and 11 are available in Tamagawa's RVDT series.
