For Injection Molding Machines

Tamagawa Servo Motors have been used in a wide range of applications, including mold clamping system in Electric Injection Molding Machines, where the molding environment is cleaner and power consumption is greatly reduced compared to conventional Hydraulic Molding Machines.

04.Motors in Outer Space

For Asteroid Explorer

Tamagawa Stepper Motor is used for Thermal Infrared Imager (TIR), shutter mechanism in Asteroid Explorer "Hayabusa2".
Hayabusa2 is an asteroid exploration mission operated by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). It left the asteroid in November 2019 and returned the samples of asteroid to Earth in December 2020.

For Microsatellite

Tamagawa Reaction Wheel with integrated motor is installed in Philippine’s microsatellites “DIWATA-1” and “DIWATA-2” made by Hokkaido University and Tohoku University. The Reaction Wheel is used for attitude control by the wheel rotation velocity changes.
DIWATA-1 is the Philippine’s first microsatellite for monitoring the extent of damages from natural disasters, and the successor DIWATA-2 carries an amateur radio payload for disaster relief purposes.
